I love my church. My husband Gary and I have been members here for 18, 19 years or so. I remember as a child learning that the church is not a building, but the people. That was a hard consept to understand as a child, but as an adult, it is so clear and even more clear in times of need. My father went to be with his Lord this week. Although it has been a hard week, I have been so blessed. The outpouring of love from my church family has overwhelmed me. Faces at the visitation and funeral was so encouraging. This is funny but I felt like Sally Fields at the oscars a long time ago when she said “they like me, they really like me” but for me it was , ” they love me”. I heard it over and over again . “we love you, we love you”. Those three words from this wonderful “family” is the strength that helps us make it through the day. The presence and the phone calls from friends who I know are having a hard time themselves, give courage for tomorrow. His word tells me “I will never leave you or forsake you.” The Holy Spirit is here with me encouraging me, but I realize how present He is with me through each one of you “my family”. I thank God for the special gift of this family Fellowship North.
